Safety Information

Read and understand all instructions before operating. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  1. Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, long pants, sturdy gloves, and non-slip boots.
  2. Operation Area: Keep bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 feet away. Be aware of your surroundings.
  3. Fuel Safety: Refuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped and cool. Wipe up spills immediately. Store fuel in an approved container away from heat sources.
  4. Hot Surfaces: Avoid contact with the muffler and cylinder during and immediately after operation.
  5. Carbon Monoxide: Never operate the unit indoors or in enclosed, poorly ventilated areas.

WARNING! This product produces an extremely high-velocity stream of air. Do not point the nozzle at people, animals, windows, or vehicles. Flying debris can cause serious injury or property damage.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack all parts and inspect for damage. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach the Main Tube: Align the tube with the engine housing outlet and twist clockwise until it clicks and locks securely.
  2. Attach the Blower Nozzle: Slide the nozzle onto the end of the main tube and twist to lock.
  3. Adjust Tube Length: Loosen the locking collar, extend or retract the tube to a comfortable length, and re-tighten the collar.
  4. Attach Shoulder Strap (Optional): Clip the strap to the designated attachment points on the unit and the harness.
  5. Fuel Mixing: Prepare the correct gasoline and 2-stroke oil mixture (see Section 6). Fill the fuel tank.

CAUTION! Ensure all connections are tight before starting the engine to prevent parts from coming loose during operation.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Familiarize yourself with all controls before starting.

Main Controls: Throttle Trigger: Squeeze to increase engine speed and air flow. Release to return to idle. Stop Switch: Move to the "STOP" or "0" position to stop the engine. Cruise Control Lever: Engage to lock the throttle at a desired speed. Disengage by squeezing the throttle trigger fully. Air Purge Bulb: Press 5-6 times before a cold start to prime the carburetor. Choke Lever: Used for cold starting (position I = Start, position O = Run).

Operating Technique: Hold the unit with both hands. Use a sweeping side-to-side motion, keeping the nozzle 2-3 inches above the ground. Work with the wind when possible for greater efficiency.

Fuel & Oil Mixture

This engine uses a gasoline and 2-stroke oil mixture. Do not use straight gasoline or automotive oil.

  1. Fuel: Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89 (R+M)/2. Do not use fuel containing more than 10% ethanol (E10).
  2. Oil: Use a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil designed for air-cooled engines (e.g., Husqvarna XP+ or equivalent).
  3. Mixing Ratio: 50:1. This means 2.6 US fl oz (77 ml) of oil per 1 US gallon (3.8 liters) of gasoline. Example: For 1 gallon of gas, add 2.6 oz of oil. Mix thoroughly in a separate approved container before filling the tank.

WARNING! An improper fuel mixture will cause severe engine damage and is not covered under warranty. Never store the unit with fuel in the tank for more than 30 days.

Starting & Stopping

Cold Start (Engine not warm):

  1. Place the unit on a flat, clear surface.
  2. Press the air purge bulb 5-6 times.
  3. Move the choke lever to the START (I) position.
  4. Press and hold the throttle lockout (if equipped) and squeeze the throttle trigger. Push the throttle trigger in and hold it.
  5. Pull the starter rope briskly until the engine fires (usually within 5 pulls).
  6. Move the choke lever to the RUN (O) position.
  7. Squeeze the throttle trigger to disengage the start throttle lock. Allow the engine to warm up for 30-60 seconds.

Warm Start: Follow steps 1, 4, and 5 above. Do not use the choke or air purge.

Stopping: Release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to idle for 10 seconds. Move the stop switch to the "STOP" or "0" position.
