Assembly & First Use

  1. Attach Guide Bar & Chain: Place bar onto mounting studs, loop chain around bar with cutting teeth facing forward, then tighten bar nuts hand-tight.
  2. Adjust Chain Tension: Use tensioning wheel to raise bar tip, tighten chain until it snaps back when pulled from bar, then tighten bar nuts fully.
  3. Fill Oil Tank: Use Husqvarna chain oil or equivalent. Fill to MAX line.
  4. Connect Power: Plug into 120V outlet. Ensure cord is secure and not tangled.
  5. Test Functions: Press safety trigger and throttle to ensure smooth operation. Test chain brake.

CAUTION! Ensure chain is properly tensioned before each use. Loose chain can derail or break.

  2. Making a Cut: Let chain reach full speed before contacting wood. Use steady pressure; do not force.
  3. Kickback Prevention: Keep saw body close to your body; cut with part of bar closest to saw.
  4. Refueling Oil: Check oil level frequently. Refill when below MIN line.
  5. After Use: Engage chain brake. Unplug saw. Clean debris from bar and chain.

Tip: For felling trees, plan escape path and use proper notch and backcut techniques.

Maintenance & Cleaning
