Safety Instructions

Read and understand all instructions before operation. Always wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment: Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and dust mask.
  2. Work Area Safety: Ensure area is clear of obstructions and bystanders. Check for hidden utilities (electrical, gas, water) before cutting.
  3. Machine Inspection: Check blade for damage, ensure all guards are in place, verify fuel and water levels.
  4. Operation: Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. Do not operate with damaged or missing components.

WARNING! Blade rotates at high speed; serious injury can occur. Never operate without proper guards and PPE. Avoid contact with rotating blade.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Assemble on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Attach Handle: Secure handle to main frame using provided bolts and wrench.
  2. Install Blade: Ensure machine is off. Place blade on spindle, secure with flange and nut using blade wrench.
  3. Mount Guard: Attach blade guard according to diagram in manual.
  4. Connect Water System: Attach hoses from water tank to pump and blade housing. Fill tank with clean water.
  5. Add Fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill.
  6. Check Oil: Verify engine oil level; top up if necessary with recommended oil type.

CAUTION! Use proper tools for assembly. Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation.

Controls and Indicators

Control Panel Location: On the main handle assembly.

Primary Controls: Ignition Switch (Off/On/Start), Throttle Lever, Choke Knob, Water Pump Switch, Emergency Stop Button, Depth Adjustment Wheel.

Indicators: Low Oil Warning (if equipped), Fuel Gauge (visual).

Adjustments: Cutting Depth (turn wheel to raise/lower blade), Handle Height (loosen knob, adjust, retighten), Guide Wheel Pressure (adjust via spring tension).

Operating Instructions

Starting Procedure:

  1. Pre-Operation Check: Verify oil, fuel, water. Ensure blade is secure and area is safe.
  2. Set Choke: Move choke to "ON" for cold starts.
  3. Ignition: Turn key to "ON". Press electric start button or pull recoil starter.
  4. Warm Up: Allow engine to run at idle for 1-2 minutes. Move choke to "OFF".
  5. Engage Water: Turn water pump switch to "ON" to start coolant flow to blade.
  6. Begin Cut: Slowly lower blade to desired depth using adjustment wheel. Apply forward pressure evenly.

Tip: Make practice cuts on scrap material to familiarize yourself with machine handling.

Cutting Procedures

For concrete, asphalt, and masonry.

  1. Mark Cut Line: Use chalk line for straight cuts.
  2. Set Depth: Adjust depth wheel. Do not exceed max depth in one pass for deep cuts; make multiple passes.
  3. Position Saw: Align guide wheels with cut line.
  4. Start Engine & Water: Begin coolant flow before blade contacts material.
  5. Make Cut: Apply steady forward pressure. Let blade do the work; do not force.
  6. Curved Cuts: For curves, reduce speed and use light steering pressure on handle.
  7. End of Cut: Release throttle, raise blade completely out of cut, turn off water pump, then engine.

WARNING! Never cut without water cooling (for dust control and blade life). Avoid sudden movements. Watch for kickback.

Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance ensures performance and longevity.

IntervalTask
Daily (Before Use)Check blade condition, fuel/water levels, oil level, tire pressure, all fasteners.
Every 25 HoursClean air filter. Check spark plug.
Every 50 HoursChange engine oil. Inspect water pump and hoses.
Every 100 HoursReplace air filter. Check valve clearance (refer to engine manual).
As NeededReplace worn blade. Grease guide wheel bearings. Check drive belt tension.

CAUTION! Perform maintenance only when machine is off and cool. Use genuine Husqvarna parts.

Storage & Transport

For long-term storage, run engine to use up fuel in carburetor or add fuel stabilizer. Drain water tank and lines to prevent freezing. Store in a dry, covered area. For transport, secure saw in vehicle using straps. Ensure blade guard is installed.

CAUTION! Always transport with blade guard on. Secure machine to prevent movement.
