Assembly Instructions

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Attach the handle: Align handle brackets with deck mounts and secure with provided bolts.
  2. Install the grass collection bag: Attach bag holder to rear discharge chute and hook bag onto holder.
  3. Connect the control cables: Route throttle and drive control cables along handle as shown in diagram.
  4. Install the safety key: Insert key into ignition slot until it clicks.
  5. Add engine oil and fuel: Fill with recommended oil and unleaded gasoline.

WARNING! Always wear protective gloves during assembly. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely.

First-Time Operation

Perform pre-operation checks before starting the engine.

  1. Check oil level: Ensure oil is at the full mark on the dipstick.
  2. Check fuel level: Fill tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline.
  3. Adjust cutting height: Set lever to desired position (1-4).
  4. Start the engine: Insert safety key, set throttle to choke, pull starter cord firmly.
  5. Engage the blade: With engine running, pull blade engagement lever toward handle.
  6. Begin mowing: Walk at a steady pace, overlapping each pass slightly.

CAUTION! Clear mowing area of stones, sticks, and debris before operation. Never mow on wet grass.

Operation: Set throttle to FAST for mowing, SLOW for idling. Pull blade lever toward handle to engage cutting blade. Squeeze drive control lever to engage self-propulsion. Adjust cutting height via lever before mowing. Always remove safety key when not in use.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Adjust all wheels simultaneously with the single lever.

  1. Stop the engine and wait for blade to stop completely.
  2. Pull the height adjustment lever outward to disengage.
  3. Move lever to desired setting (1=Lowest, 4=Highest).
  4. Release lever to lock into position.
  5. Check that all wheels are at the same height.

Tip: For a healthier lawn, never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade length at one time.
