Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts and inspect for damage. Assembly requires basic tools (included: spanner, screwdriver).

  1. Attach the Handle: Position lower handle onto deck brackets, secure with bolts and knobs. Attach upper handle section.
  2. Install the Grass Bag: Hook the grass collection bag onto the rear brackets on the deck.
  3. Attach Side Discharge Chute (if used): Slide chute into side opening and secure with pin.
  4. Install Mulching Plug (if used): Insert plug into rear discharge opening.
  5. Check Wheel Installation: Ensure all wheels are securely fastened and rotate freely.
  6. Add Engine Oil & Petrol: Fill with recommended SAE 30 oil (0.35L) and unleaded petrol (50:1 2-stroke mix).

WARNING! Always wear gloves during assembly. Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation.

First-Time Setup & Operation

Before first start, complete assembly and fluid checks.

  1. Check Oil Level: Ensure oil is at the full mark on the dipstick.
  2. Fuel Mix: Use fresh unleaded petrol mixed with 2-stroke oil at a 50:1 ratio.
  3. Starting the Engine: Set throttle to fast position (rabbit symbol). Pull recoil starter firmly until engine starts.
  4. Engaging the Blade: Press and hold the safety bail lever against the handle, then pull the drive control lever.
  5. Adjust Cutting Height: Move the single lever to desired setting before mowing.
  6. Select Cutting Mode: Install bag, mulching plug, or side chute as needed.

CAUTION! Never operate without proper oil or with incorrect fuel mixture. Clear mowing area of debris.

Cutting System & Height Adjustment

The 3-in-1 system allows flexibility for different lawn conditions.

  1. Mulching: Install mulching plug. Cuttings are finely chopped and returned to the lawn as fertilizer.
  2. Rear Bagging: Attach grass collection bag. Ideal for collecting clippings.
  3. Side Discharge: Install side discharge chute. For cutting long or wet grass.
  4. Height Adjustment: Move the lever to one of 6 positions. Adjust all wheels simultaneously. Always stop engine before adjusting.

Tip: For best results, never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade length at one time.

Storage & Winterization

  2. Clean Thoroughly: Clean deck, wheels, and engine. Remove all grass and debris.
  3. Oil: Change oil if due (for 4-stroke models).
  4. Spark Plug: Remove, check gap, clean, or replace.
  5. Blade: Sharpen, balance, and coat with light oil.
  6. Storage Location: Store in a clean, dry place, preferably covered.

CAUTION! Never store with petrol in the tank for more than 30 days without stabilizer.
