Controls and Operation

Starting Procedure: 1. Sit on seat. 2. Set parking brake. 3. Disengage blades. 4. Move throttle to choke (cold start) or fast position. 5. Turn ignition key to START. 6. Release key to RUN position.

Driving: Release parking brake. Press forward pedal to go forward; press reverse pedal to go backward. Speed is controlled by pedal pressure. To stop, release pedal; brake automatically engages.

Cutting & Mowing

For best results, mow when grass is dry.

  1. Adjust cutting height: Use lever near each wheel to desired setting.
  2. Engage blades: With engine running at full throttle, pull blade engagement lever.
  3. Begin mowing: Overlap each pass by a few inches for even cut.
  4. Disengage blades: When finished or crossing non-grass areas.
  5. Clean deck: After mowing, remove grass clippings from underside of deck.

Tip: Sharpen blades every 25 hours of use for a clean cut. Change mowing pattern each time to prevent ruts.
