Safety Information

Read all instructions before operation. Wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and toys.
  2. Never carry passengers; keep bystanders away.
  3. Do not mow on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
  4. Disengage blades before starting engine.
  5. Stop engine before leaving operator's position.

WARNING! Risk of blade contact and rollover. Always wear eye protection and sturdy footwear. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires two people.

  1. Install steering levers: Attach to control panel with provided bolts.
  2. Attach seat: Mount using four bolts and washers.
  3. Connect battery: Connect red (+) then black (-) terminals.
  4. Add engine oil: Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 (48 oz capacity).
  5. Fill fuel tank: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

CAUTION! Ensure all bolts are tightened to specification. Check tire pressure (14 PSI).

Controls and Operation

Operator station: Ignition switch, Blade engagement lever, Parking brake, Throttle, Choke, Hour meter.

Steering: Dual levers control speed and direction. Push both forward to go straight, pull back to reverse. Differential steering for turns.

Starting procedure: Sit in seat, set parking brake, disengage blades, move levers to neutral, turn key to START. Stopping: Move levers to neutral, engage parking brake, turn key to OFF.

Mowing Procedures

For best results, mow when grass is dry.

  1. Adjust cutting height using deck lift lever.
  2. Start engine and allow to warm up for 30 seconds.
  3. Engage blades using PTO switch.
  4. Release parking brake and slowly move control levers forward.
  5. Overlap passes by 2-3 inches for even cut.
  6. Disengage blades when crossing driveways or gravel.

Tip: Change mowing pattern weekly to prevent grass compaction.

Maintenance Schedule

  4. Clean entire mower, especially underside of deck.
  5. Store in dry, covered area with tires off ground.

CAUTION! Do not store with fuel in carburetor. Drain or use stabilizer.
