  3. Never allow children or untrained persons to operate the mower.
  4. Do not mow on slopes exceeding 15 degrees; mow up and down slopes, not across.
  5. Shut off engine and remove key before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages.

WARNING! Rotating blades can cause severe injury. Keep hands and feet away from deck during operation. Be aware of your surroundings, especially when backing up.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Install steering levers: Attach to control panel per diagram, secure with provided hardware.
  2. Attach seat: Position seat on mounting plate, secure with bolts.
  3. Connect battery: Attach red (+) then black (-) cables; ensure secure connection.
  4. Check tire pressure: Inflate to recommended PSI (see Specifications).
  5. Add engine oil and fuel: Use types specified in manual. Do not overfill.
  6. Perform pre-operation check: Inspect for loose parts, leaks, and proper function of controls.

CAUTION! Use proper lifting techniques or assistance when handling heavy components like the cutting deck.

Controls & Operation

Familiarize yourself with all controls before starting the engine.

Control Panel: Ignition key, PTO (blade engage) switch, Choke, Throttle, Hour meter, Fuel gauge.

Steering Levers: Move both levers forward to go forward, back to reverse. To turn, move one lever slower than the other or in opposite directions.

Starting Procedure: 1. Sit on seat. 2. Set parking brake. 3. Move steering levers to neutral (outward position). 4. Engage choke if cold. 5. Turn ignition key.

Mowing: Engage PTO to start blades. Use levers to control speed and direction. Overlap cutting passes for even results.

Shutdown: Disengage PTO, move levers to neutral, set parking brake, turn key off, remove key.

  6. For height adjustment: Use deck lift lever or knob to select cutting height.

Tip: Always disconnect spark plug wire before working under the deck.

Engine Care

Refer to separate engine manual for detailed specifications.
